The Modern Registered Manager Journal
Enabling managers to inspire, transform, lead and manage the
care sector.
The purpose of the new journal is to focus on issues
affecting registered managers within care homes. This is a
professional and semi academic journal which highlights the
need to promote and maintain evidence based practice within
the care sector with managers as the key individuals in
achieving this. The journal is inspired by ‘registered
managers for registered managers’, therefore the need to
ensure articles submitted reflect their current needs is of
great importance. Registered managers can undertake
leadership and management courses, but for them to make a
difference within care homes requires them to ensure they
develop the ability to critically evaluate care given and
current systems in place. Therefore, this journal will be
central in challenging existing practices thus supporting
manager in issues relating to leadership and management.
