products plus a regularly updated policy due to the ever
changing designs and supports available. Building
Construction Partnerships regularly install; track hoist
systems, wheelchair ramps, bath elevators and at a recent
project in Immingham an outstanding sensory room offered
residents the opportunity to experience different light,
sound and tactile sensations.
The Green Element- A recent project; a 45 bedroom medium
secure health unit provided an additional challenge to
Building Construction Partnership. The design team and
client worked closely to provide a ‘state of the art’ unit;
bringing together computer controlled low energy lighting,
ground heat pumps and solar energy panels, all controlled
and integrated by sophisticated heating controls. Commended
by inspectors from the Mental Health Commission as one of
the best units they had inspected. The design included
recordable close circuit television, secure air lock entry,
ligature free fittings and design throughout, nurse call and
panic attacked, specially designed ensuite pods and basement
facilities that included offices and a gum. Externally the
street elevation gives the impress of luxury apartments of
housing.
