Careconnect Learning is a UNISON learning initiative.
Careconnect offer courses to people who work in hospitals,
care homes and other social care workplaces. We offer
innovative, new and exciting courses, which can be delivered
in our centres or in the workplace.
FlexibilityWe offer a range of NVQ’s and other
accredited awards to employers in health and social care. We
pride ourselves on the high quality of our training. The
growing number of partners range from small nursing homes to
medium-sized enterprises, NHS trusts, large independent
providers of care and national charities. Learning takes
place in a wide range of settings, from hospices offering
care to seriously ill patients, large hospitals in inner
cities, to isolated residential care homes in rural
locations.
Experience
Careconnect Learning Ltd has an advantage in
that we understand and have practical experience of the
needs of both employers and learners. It is particularly
good at reaching lower paid, unqualified employees who may
have been out of education for a long time and lack the
confidence and skills to learn.
Delivered in your workplace
We deliver NVQs in Health and Social Care in the
workplace. The knowledge requirements are delivered using a
blend of online tools and paper based materials. These
materials are delivered to groups of 5 or more in workshops
and at the NVQ induction. The candidate is required to
complete some materials in their own time.
The NVQ induction will be delivered by the Assessor in the
workplace. Observations and assessments will be organised by
the assessor and agreed with the candidate in advance. It is
essential that the candidate is supported by their employer
through this process and given adequate time off work to
complete the NVQ folder and meet deadlines set by assessors.
Some of the NVQs that we currently offer are:
- NVQ Level 2, 3 or 4 in Health and Social Care
- Registered Managers Award
- NVQ Level 3 or 4 in Advice and Guidance
- Level 3 or 4 Learning and Development
- NVQ Level 2 or 3 Business Administration
- NVQ Level 1, 2 or 3 Customer Service
- NVQ Level 1, 2 or 3 ITQ
Other course include;
- National Certificate in Adult Literacy/Numeracy
- Identifying and Reducing Risks to Health and Safety
- Quality and Continuous Improvement
