Since March 2003, ipa has been appointed by the NCA to offer
all members a complete purchasing service – free of
charge.
Many NCA members now save £1,000’s every year on the cost
of food and non-food products that are required to keep
a busy care home running smoothly.

By grouping together all NCA members and negotiating prices
collectively, it is possible to give each individual home
the purchasing power and discounts available to much larger
organisations.

currently being charged. However, it is not uncommon for
members to save upwards of £1,000 every year.

• Due diligence assurance
All of our catering suppliers are expected to meet strict
criteria for the safety, legality and quality of products
supplied.
To achieve this, we are one of the first organisations in
the purchasing consortia arena to use the highly regarded
services of CMi plc.
Our clients can be assured that all of our catering
suppliers maintain food safety approval to supply through
annual compliance with formal assessment programmes
undertaken by CMi.
• Problem solving
Essentially, we are a third party between NCA members and
the supplier who act to ensure you get the best deal
possible – in terms of service as well as price.
For example, if you have ever experienced a supplier problem
– late delivery, poor quality or general underperformance –
but were unsure of the best way to handle the issue, one
quick call to ipa is the only action you would need to take.
We are in regular contact with each of our suppliers and
very well placed to ensure that if a problem does occur, it
is solved quickly and efficiently.

Our address book of contacts also puts us in an
excellent position to be able to advise you on the purchase
