Founded in 1999, Opportunities UK provides recruitment
solutions to the healthcare sector. As specialists to the
field of learning disabilities and mental health, we are
well placed to provide recruitment services and temporary
staff to residential homes, day care centre’s, nursing
homes, supported living and respite schemes. We are
fulfilling agency requirements to establishments nationwide.
The Teams
Our teams of Consultants and Managers have substantial
experience of both recruitment and the healthcare sector and
are therefore able to provide in-depth and detailed advice
on staffing difficulties. Skilled in planning recruitment
strategies for new and existing services, we can also offer
guidance on interview structures, psychometric testing and
presentations as well as a presence on your interview panel
should this be required.
Our Training & Recruitment team is well established and aims
to provide a dedicated and efficient administrative and
customer service function to our clients and candidates. We
understand the speed and accuracy required in a recruitment
campaign and constantly strive to improve our performance.
As a specialist agency, we are highly conscious of the
requirements of CSCI in relation to the recruitment and
training of our agency staff and are actively meeting them.
We work with our clients to ensure that individual and
service specific training requirements are delivered.
Our Agency Coordinators provide a friendly, honest and
reliable service, operating from 7am – 10.30pm 365 days a
year, receiving and fulfilling advanced and last minute
bookings for agency staff.
Agency Staff Service
We have a substantial database of active agency Support
Workers and Senior Support Workers all with experience of
care settings to include learning difficulties, autism,
mental health problems, nursing care, physical disabilities,
elderly care and challenging behaviour.
All our staff are provided with a comprehensive training
program in accordance with CSCI guidelines and are
stringently reference checked, interviewed and subjected to
enhanced Criminal Records Bureau Disclosures.
We provide information on each agency worker prior to their
first shift, detailing their identity checks, references,
CRB & PoVA clearance along with all the training courses
they have completed. Furthermore, all staff carry an
Opportunities UK ID card.
Consultancy Service – Permanent vacancies
We provide a full and comprehensive recruitment service. Our
Consultants and Managers offer expertise in several areas,
including consultancy, advertising and recruitment
administration. As a matter of course, we conduct a full
meeting with prospective clients to assess their individual
needs. We endeavor to gain as much information as possible
about the role; in order to provide a structured recruitment
plan.
As a specialist agency we:
Keep you informed of the process throughout and liaise
with you on a regular basis.
Are on hand to offer advice and guidance on preparing job
descriptions, person specifications and application packs.
Search our extensive national database for suitable
candidates and/or discuss, where necessary, advertising
options with you.
Focus greatly on the promotion of your organisation when
dealing with enquiries from potential candidates – providing
a named contact to handle any queries relating to
advertising, or the vacancy itself.
Organise the distribution of application packs and chase
any outstanding applications prior to deadline.
Shortlist for you – submitting to you, only the candidates
who we feel meet your criteria.
Arrange interview and assessment days, providing advice
and guidance on formats, content and clear paperwork to make
your day as straight forward as possible.
Confirm attendance with the candidates and send them
interview letters/maps/further information.
Where required, provide presentation titles, administrate
psychometric tests and be present on your interview panel.
Obtain feedback from the candidates after their interviews
and keep them interested and informed, whilst a decision is
made.
Where requested, will make a verbal offer to the
successful candidate on your behalf and advise the
unsuccessful candidates of the outcome, providing feedback.
