Founded in 1999 Primary Care Training Group are a specialist
training provider of qualifications in the Care Sector. Our
aim is to deliver quality education and training to people
wishing to take up or further their career in the Care
Sector.
We work with you to deliver exactly what you need and
will ensure quality standards, relevant guidelines and
legislation are adhered to.

The company has a growing team of professionally
qualified trainers, predominantly either nurses or
pharmacists, based around the UK delivering a high quality
and effective service within a wide range of care and
management settings.
Our courses are aimed at all care professionals and are
accessed by a wide range of people from individuals wanting
to increase their knowledge up to large National
organisations looking for outsourcing solutions for their
training and development. The majority of our courses have
accreditation through awarding bodies such as City & Guilds,
ASET, RSPH and CIEH.
Our portfolio of products includes:
• Public Courses A schedule of public courses
running throughout the UK at various venues for either a
half or full day duration. For a full listing of these

• Bespoke Courses For many of the public courses
above we are able to produce bespoke courses for
organisations which are run at your own venue and which
relate directly to the care setting in which you operate.
• Distance Learning A wide range of distance learning
courses are available with full tutor back up. Many of these
courses are also externally accredited and prove very
popular for those with difficulty taking time away form the
workplace. These courses can be used both for mandatory /
legislative update courses, underpinning knowledge elements
of NVQs and for PREP.
• Paediatric Courses Recently we have developed a
Paediatric Training team offering courses on
Primary Care Training Group also has its own NVQ Centre
accredited with City & Guilds. PCT are a contracted LSC
Train to Gain (TtG) provider which enables us to offset the
cost of the NVQ in many cases. We work with our clients in
order to access the most appropriate fully funded training
provision or indeed partially funded options available.
Where learners aren’t eligible for funding you may undertake
similar programmes but through a non-funded route.
Training and assessment to national standards at level 2 is
a key priority for the Government. This easily translates
into your business aims and objectives and cascades through
the business to improve individual and team performance.
Employer involvement is a key factor for success; our team
will work with you at all stages of the programme. Our
qualifications vary to meet the individual needs of learners
and you the employer;
Assess-Train-Assess is a programme based upon the
principles of on-going assessment and training until the
full qualification has been achieved. Training can be
one-to-one coaching, formal certificated courses, skills
training, projects/assignments, legislation, health and
safety, equality and diversity and other suitable activities
Assessment only is a fast track programme for those
members of staff with much experience and no training needs;
it is designed to recognise the skills and competence of
such team members.
At PCT we pride ourselves on delivering a quality product
and service. We have a number of quality assurance and
quality improvement activities that run alongside our
learning programme.
